Our Philosophy
PRO Physical Therapy, Inc. was founded out of a desire for autonomy. Our philosophy is that physical therapy is practiced best where physical therapists have control of the services they provide, from clinical decision-making to equipment selection to scheduling. The physical therapy patient has a right to be treated with care and respect by a knowledgeable professional who can evaluate their individual needs and develop a plan for meeting their goals.

We are passionate about physical therapy because our profession offers a unique skill set that can bring amazing results and can restore function and quality of life. We are passionate about private practice because we believe that it affords the patient access to the very best professional care. Consumers have a choice where to seek therapy services. We strive to be the best choice in the communities we serve.

Our Story
PRO Physical Therapy, Inc is a local, therapist-owned practice founded in January 2001 by Medical University of South Carolina classmates Dan LaPlaca and Tim Davis.

Our first office was opened in Lyman, South Carolina in 2001. A year later, we opened the Woodruff, SC office and shortly thereafter, the Columbus, NC office in December 2002. Our fourth office in Rutherfordton, North Carolina was established in January 2005.

Each office is fully staffed with licensed and experienced Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, and support personnel to provide our patients with a positive rehabilitation outcome so they can return to work, to play and to life successfully.
