Emery Dessoffy, Physical Therapist
Emery received his Physical Therapy degree at State University of New York at Buffalo in 1969. Following his training, he was commissioned as an Officer in the Navy from 1969-1972, serving as Director of Amputee Rehabilitation at the US Naval Hospital in Philadelphia. Upon completion of his military service, Emery entered private practice. He spent the majority of his career as the Owner and Clinician at Carolina Physical Therapy in Hickory, NC, specializing in outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation. Emery joined PRO Physical Therapy in January 2006, where he continues to practice with a specialty in orthopedic rehabilitation. He is Past President and Co-founder of the Independent Practitioners of Physical Therapy in North Carolina and Past Board Member of the NC American Physical Therapy Association.
Sandra Gillie, Office Manager
Sandra is the Office Manager of the Rutherfordton, North Carolina PRO Physical Therapy clinic. She has 22 years experience in a medical office setting. Her expertise includes billings, collections, scheduling and public relations. She lives in Rutherford County with her husband Jerry, two poodles and one yorkshire terrier. Sandra and Jerry have four children and nine grandchildren and enjoy camping and being with their families.
Ginger G. Parton, Physical Therapy Assistant
Ginger received her Physical Therapist Assistant Degree from Greenville Technical College in 2008. She started her PTA career with PRO Physical Therapy in December 2008. Ginger also has a Bachelors Degree in Biology that she received from Gardner-Webb University in May 2000. Ginger and her husband, Ben, reside in Rutherford County with their two small children Michaela and Ali.
Carol K Gibbs, Therapy Aide
Carol and her husband Gary, reside in Columbus with their four children- Amber, Brittany, Macy and Justin. She originally worked in the Columbus location from 2002-2005 as a Therapy Aide and office manager. Carol joined the Rutherfordton team in 2009 and is now working on her license, in the State of North Carolina, in Massage Therapy.
