Steve Ahrens, MPTPhysical Therapist
Steve graduated from West Point in 1984 and served as a Ranger-Qualified Infantry Officer until 1989. Steve earned a master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Duke University in 1992. He has over 25 years of experience in orthopedics and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He has helped numerous professional and Olympic athletes with their rehabilitation.
Emily Fleming, DPTPhysical Therapist
originally from Wilmington, NC, received a Bachelor of Science from Elon University before pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. She is a member of the Geriatric section of the APTA and is an LSVT BIG certified clinician.
Erin Hoyle, PTAPhysical Therapist Assistant
Erin earned an Associate in Applied Science in 2000 from Greenville Technical College. She has experience in acute care, skilled nursing, home health and outpatient settings. She joined the PRO team in 2016 and serves as the Operations Leader. Erin is an LSVT BIG certified clinician. She enjoys outpatient orthopedics, balance and fall prevention and working with patients living with Parkinson’s Disease.
Kevin Porter, PTAPhysical Therapist Assistant
Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Athletic Training from Gardner Webb University in 1997. He completed the PTA Program at Greenville Technical College in 2001. He is licensed in NC and SC. He has 17 years of experience in orthopedic and sports injuries. Kevin also has LSVT BIG certification for Parkinson’s Disease.
Dylan Suttle, PTA Physical Therapist Assistant
Dylan earned his Associate in Applied Science in 2019 from Southwestern Community College in Sylva, NC. He has experience in skilled nursing, acute care, and outpatient settings. His passion is for treating outpatient orthopedics and the athletic population.
Amanda Peters Insurance Specialist
Amanda Peters is originally from California, where she worked as a certified nursing assistant for over 15 years. She started at PRO Physical Therapy as a rehab tech and has transitioned into the Insurance Specialist Role. She is very involved in her church. She enjoys hiking and spending time with her family.
Haley Smith Physical Therapy Aide
She was born and raised here in Rutherford County. She graduated from Chase High School in 2009. She attended Isothermal Community College. She joined the PRO team in 2020. She has a dual role as a Physical Therapy Aide and assists in the front office with scheduling. Haley is active in her church, enjoys camping and spending time with her family.
She graduated from the class of 2020 at East Rutherford High School. Currently She is currently working towards an Associates of Science at Isothermal Community College. Her plan is to transfer to University of North Carolina at Charlotte for a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology on a Pre-med track. Her goal is to become a Pediatrician or Family Doctor. Her hobbies are hiking, writing, and playing the piano. She is very involved at her Church, and loves to spend time with her family.
