Originally from the small town of Barnesville, Georgia, Allison chose to stay in state to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. During the 30 years she has been a PT, she has worked in many different facets of the field. She started her career in acute care at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She and her husband, Doug, moved to Beaufort, South Carolina where she started her career in the outpatient clinic and this has been the primary venue for the majority of her experience. She had 2 children (John, 24 and Caitie , 22) and enjoyed balancing motherhood with a part time position in various outpatient clinics. After her youngest left the nest to go to college, Allison spent some additional time in home health and industrial rehabilitation. Even though she gained valuable experience, her heart remains in the outpatient clinic. Allison and her husband recently relocated from Savannah, Georgia to the Hendersonville area where they now reside with their 1 year old Bernedoodle, Ellie.
